What does it mean to be 'normal' ? Who decides what is normal and what isn't? Does being normal only mean merely following the social trends, going by the accepted ideologies, and not challenging any of the contemporary ideas and beliefs? I think there can be no single definition of 'normal' . Something normal to me, might not be normal to you. Something normal to you, might not be so to someone else. Therefore, we cannot really define what being 'normal' is. Also, both the terms 'normal' and 'abnormal' happen to be quite disturbing to me. While the term 'abnormal' undoubtedly marginalizes individuals and shuns them from society's usual ways, the term 'normal' also acts as a burden for those who constitute the society. The products that we use in our everyday lives, often, come with taglines. Companies and business houses burn the midnight oil to produce catchy taglines to secure the attention of their targeted customers. These taglines are intelligently crafted. They skillfully blend the effectiveness of the product with the reason behind why a customer should own it. Many products have been remembered for their taglines. This is because customers could instantly connect with them. Through their taglines, companies portray why the product is useful. They focus on how owning the product will solve a particular problem of the consumers and make their lives easier. Even when we don't buy a particular item, we're still aware of its tagline. My Kind of Law

We all talk about changing the world. While some consider technological advancements as one of the most authentic benchmarks of a developed world, some prefer effective societal changes to bring about a massive transformation in human existence. Suppose, one day, you are given the liberty to enact a law. A path-breaking law that has the power to create ripples all around. What would it be? What kind of law would you prefer? I am pretty clear about this. Given a choice, I would like to enact a law under which women and girls in India will be receiving free sanitary products from both the Central and State governments. Period poverty is nothing new. Much has already been spoken about it. I think even before legislating or enacting such a law, the existence of this problem needs to be acknowledged first.
